Project 1
The west side of Okanagan Lake is a premium setting for enjoying the beauty of the surrounding landscape. This design project was aimed at refreshing the décor and moving a conventional kitchen into a 600 sq. ft. space presently occupied by an indoor pool. Above the garage were guest quarters that were captured for expansion of the master bedroom/ensuite/walk in closet.
Project 2
We worked with the homeowners and a local Architect to design a new home construction for a family in a quiet conservative neighborhood near the South Center Mall in Calgary. They wanted a comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, and practical home in which to enjoy their retirement. We collaborated with all stakeholders to deliver a beautiful home that the family could be proud of.
Project 3
Sometimes , as a designer, you walk into a place that is so pristine in its present condition that you can’t imagine, at first what kind of improvements can be made. But everyone comes to a place in life where present conditions no longer serve the purpose and changes have to be made. In this project the aim was to add a suite for a mother-in-law.
Project 4
The old homestead didn’t look the same after we put many ideas together to create a masterpiece that not only accommodated the homeowner’s needs and wants, but it also captured the essence of the home where the lady of the house had grown up. The house she grew up in was removed and this home became the house she grew up in, revisited.
Project 5
On a very regular basis, commercial buildings require a facelift. Possibly the most interesting thing, from a design perspective, on this project was the inclusion of a tower along the side of the building next to the parts department door. This, because so many times budget crunchers remove all the unnecessary elements of a design. This tower signified the parts and service departments, protected the door from the northwest winds and added a touch of finesse to the building.
Project 6
The back yard of any home is the place where your home interacts with nature. It acts as a haven from the work day, and a place to entertain guests. This relatively mundane treatment of that space came to life in a big way when we gave it a face lift that included a fire place and bbq facility.
